Greetings, Broders (Brahma Coders)!

My name is Lexus, also known as Lotus. Most of my career has been spent in the entertainment industry. I've always been fascinated with how things work, from theatrical lighting to roller coasters but on a much deeper level. I could look at a roller coaster and give an educated guess as to which manufacturer it was engineered by. As much as I love the industry, I was ready to learn something new. Over the years, I felt like I had lost my passion, lost track of my goals, and was just going through the motions. I was hopping from job to job, still within the industry, hoping to get that spark back. Searching for that fire that motivated me to come to work every day, not for the money, but because I loved the work that I was doing!  

My new career aspirations are to be a software engineer. Since making this decision, that spark is back and growing into a flame! I am pursuing my course of study to lead me in the right direction because I am interested in learning more about programming, coding, and software engineering. Still, I am and will continue to be a sponge, and I'm open to learning all aspects of computer science and information technology. Aside from the sparks of knowing these new skills, this career path would also provide more opportunities to work remotely and make a more sustainable income for my family and me. I love learning and look forward to what the future will bring!
