Traveling Through a Network
Greetings Broders!
Making a career change can be a difficult task! Many have built a lifetime of knowledge, skills, and passion around a specific career since the opportunity was made available years ago. For those seeking to jump into a Software Engineer career, that knowledge and skills gap can seem like the most significant distance of all career changes. Learning programming languages is the best step toward closing that gap.
The Brahma Code blog will provide readers with information about making a career change to become a software engineer. They can learn more about the author on the About Me page. One of the topics from the approved list applies most to this blog. The topic is programming languages. The starting question is, “Which programming language(s) should I learn first?”. This question is the first of many that will help me take the steps toward making a career change. In all, there may not be a linear line progression toward being a successful Software Engineer. That is what needs to be discovered. The goal is to understand what could be learned outside of the work already being done through coursework. It’s about knowing how I can utilize my additional time to get ahead and gain real-world experience. Being a hands-on learner, I want to have my own time to play in some programs.
Learning programming languages is the best step towards bridging the information gap as a new programmer. Most Software Engineers have spent significant time working with these programmers. As I continue my coursework, I aim to build upon my skills outside the classroom by learning these programs.
Happy Coding!
